Lee Maracle, gifted writer and orator to headline the Harvest Festival…

Ms. Maracle is the author of a number of critically acclaimed winning literary works including: “Sojourner’s and Sundogs” [collected work of novel and short stories], Polestar/Raincoast, “Ravensong” [novel], Polestar/Raincoast, “Bobbi Lee”[autobiographical novel], Scholars/Women’s Press, “Daughters Are Forever”, [novel] Polestar/Raincoast, “Will’s Garden” [young adult novel] Theytus books, “Bent Box” [poetry] Theytus books, “I Am Woman” [non-fiction], Polestar/Raincoast and the co-editor of a number of anthologies including the award winning publication, “My Home As I Remember” [anthology] Natural Heritage books. She is also co-editor and contributor of “Telling It: Women and Language Across Culture” [conference proceedings] Polestar/Raincoast. Ms. Maracle is widely published in anthologies and scholarly journals worldwide. Ms. Maracle was born in North Vancouver and is a member of the Sto: Loh nation. Maracle is a mother of four and grandmother of seven. Maracle has served as the Distinguished Visiting Professor at both University of Toronto and Western Washington University. Ms. Maracle is an award winning author, an award winning instructor and a gifted orator. Ms. Maracle is currently teaching in the Aboriginal Studies program at the University of Toronto and the Centre of Indigenous Theatre.
